Still no podcast yet. Yes, we’ve been busy with Halloween stuff, but this month has also been rough for other reasons. Chief among them, my wife is scheduled for surgery tomorrow. So sacrifice a goat, light a candle, and say a bunch of prayers, or just save your energy because none of that will affect the outcome.
Here are a few pictures of the haunt-in-progress to keep you occupied.
The gateway arch is all tarped up until Halloween, but it’ll look real spooky then.
A shot of the haunted hallway from the outside (Leighton has built a structure to protect the hallway from the elements):
We’ve closed off the back area to make a graveyard.
A shot of the inside of the haunted hallway. Not as creepy during the day.
Probably the scariest thing we’ve seen this season (at Home Depot):
One of the two room structures Leighton set up:
Inside, a laboratory:
More creepy stuff inside, and a sarcophagus.
Spiders are always good.
The bigger of the two spiders is controlled by this mechanism:
And driven (along with the haunted hallway) by a huge air compressor.
Finally, this dude is just chillin’ out waiting for you all to come visit.
