For this Halloween episode we’ve chosen to review a little-known, low budget horror movie from the 70s called “The Omen,” about a little devil named Damien who just wants to destroy humanity and possibly the world, but people keep trying to get in his way. Questionable theological interpretations of scriptures, stupid rhyming couplets, and bad acting abounds in this holiday classic.

For our final Halloween episode ever, this year we take on The Exorcist, a movie that apparently scared a lot of people about 40 years ago. It’s a charming tale about a Catholic Priest who is on the brink of losing his faith until he meets up with a little devil named Captain Howdy, and they become the best of friends for the rest of his life.

Our final episode (part 1) brings back Cara Santa Maria, famed science communicator, Talk Nerdy host and Skeptics Guide cohost to discuss life, politics, science, the universe, and everything in between.

And so we’ve come to part 2 of the final episode of Irreligiosophy, with Geoff Blackwell, Supreme Grand High Lord Litigation Consultant for American Atheists discussing recent decisions rendered by the highest Christian Nationalist court in the land. My favorite exchange was this one:

Chuck: “So is there any level of human decency the government requires or expects from religion?”

Geoff: “…”

Geoff: “No.”
