[chuck]So it looks like Matt and I will be getting together some time this week to record — look for the podcast to appear some time next week.

And then I’m not sure what to do. I’m thinking of wrapping up Irreligiosophy and leaving it as is, with the RSS feed intact and all the content in place. That way it will stand as its own body of work without a “second coming” that regardless of quality, will never be the same as the first.

If I do start a new podcast, I’ll be needing a new name. It seems the podcast community is all about puns, so any suggestions would be appreciated. If left to my own devices, I’m sure I’ll come up with another name equally obscure and difficult to pronounce as Irreligiosophy.

Help. Me. Just found Irreligious….hy a few weeks ago and have been burning thru most of the catalog. Finishing up Dan Barker right now, dreading the cursor’s/tonearm’s move to the last, short episode.

Thank you for hours of fun, for an education on Mormonism, for interesting discussions, for raising challenging ideas, and for great interviews. I LIKED the interviews. Will watch for future signs of Chuck Activity.

  3. How about Analyzed Atheism? lol..or…The Latter Day Sinner?

  4. Or, Unapologetics with the LDS (Latter Day Sinner).

    @Becca. Sacrillicious. Nice.

    The Secret Temple Podcast Ceremonies!

  7. Jack Pollock says:

There are so many good ones but maybe I’m starting to hope for “Unapologetics”. The thing with that one is that A) it sounds tough and B) it actually might have a shot at getting theists to listen. It’d be nice to try and engage or enrage them rather than just preach to the choir like the other Skeptics shows.

  8. Just to keep with the spirit of frustratingly unpronouncable titles . . . how about “Unapologetiology” or “Unapologetiography”?

Or I also like “Unapologeti”? “Return of the Unaplogeti” could also be seen as quite apt.

I think the very first one has that Irreligiosophy kind of feel to it though

  9. If we are distancins ourselves from the old show, how about. “irrevisionism”?

  10. How about Uni of thinkolosophy with Professor Chuck or Uni of thinkology with Professor Chuck or is that to close to the old one?

  11. My vote is for Unapologetics: The One True Podcast *TM*

  12. Unapologetics: The Reformed True Podcast

Unapologetics, Chuck. The advantages are three. Firstly, it is a hideous, unwieldy piece of punnery, which you seem intent on. Secondly, if a pun it must be, this one is probably the least shitty one imaginable. Considering the ghastly portmanteau of your previous body of work, this is a grand improvement. Thirdly, the idea is your own. Why take the advice of idiot fans, this present bit of advice excluded.

One more thing. If you’re going to start a new site, please consider a written component. This not only adds content to pacify the impatient masses, but also gives a way to provoke discussion in a more thought-provoking format than, say, a forum. One 500 word article per week (not so hard) would add a good bit to the site with relatively little effort from you. That said, you may have already intuited I’m about to offer my services to that end.

Quite pleased to have you active again. Glad to help in any way possible.

  14. Unapologetics: The Restored Podcast

  15. The other podcast have pieces of the truth but only Unapologetics: The Restored Podcast has all the keys to the kingdom and able to work in the name of Atheists.

  16. Lucy Harris says:

“The One True Podcast” should not be a title, but a tagline, like before.

  17. Lucy Harris says:

The Restored Podcast is a good tagline, it’s got that Mormon flavor.

  18. Citizen Wolf says:

I still like my suggestion of Russell’s Teapod; mainly because it’s my suggestion. I’d rather I thought of Unapologetics though.

  19. Charles Minus says:

Unapologetics is okay, but I find it clumsy and pedestrian sounding. Might I suggest a somewhat more mellifluous alternative: Anapologetics.

It’s rhythmic, has a nice ring to it, sounds vaguely Greek and like it might be a real word, but isn’t.

“Gullibullocity” “Salvation Smarmy” “Revel-nation” “The Baloney Pony” “Morrison’s Brain”. “Chuck Tracts”. “Irregiggleosophy”.

  22. I really like Chuck Tracts.

  23. david harris says:

    Thanks Chuck !

  24. I must admit, Chuck tracts is very clever

  25. david harris says:

Thank you, Stuart ! It’s somewhat hard to say, and even harder to say 3 times quickly…

  26. Citizen Wolf says:

Try saying ‘good blood, bad blood’ repeatedly a few times. I don’t suggest it as a podcast title.

  27. Chuck U Godly?

  28. What about just Chuck University, or Chuck U for short. I could sell T-shirts!
