Continuing our epic series on the US Founding Fathers, this time we talk about George Washington and Alexander Hamilton, two good friends who had very different views about religion and politics. Also, a few skunk dicks.

Well it’s that time again, time for our semiannual podcast. This time it’s on the Founding Fathers, and to provide some background, we give a brief overview of the Enlightenment as well. Need some ammo against Christians who portray the founders of the US government as evangelicals? Ever been told that the US is a “Christian nation?”

Well, that’s all true, unfortunately. The Christians hit the nail on the head yet again.

Ever think religion does no harm? Then this podcast is for you. It tells the unbelievable story of a dark time in Mormon history when some otherwise law-abiding religious people in southern Utah followed the instructions of their leaders and slaughter men, women, and children who were peacefully traveling through their territory. We talk about events preceding and following the massacre, and the extent to which Brigham Young was involved.

Whew, that took a while. In episode 40 we finish our scholarly study of the book of Acts, covering chapters 10-28 which is basically a lot of boring stuff about Paul.
