[irrelig]Ok, so we’ve been nominated for an award in the Religion and Inspiration category of Podcastawards.com.We were truly, truly honored. So honored that we decided to check out the rest of the podcasts in that category who were our co-nominees (such as Mars Hill, Wigglian Way, and More Than One Lesson). Now we’re less honored.

Anyway, What resulted was our longest podcast to date. We’re still recuperating.

By the way, the “break music” is actually real Wiccan music. It’s called “Hear Diana,” and was composed by some guy named BarleySinger.

  1. Hey guys, just found you and subscribed. Didn’t realize you are former mormons too. I am waiting on my “Dodge Letter” to confirm my apostasy.

I absolutely love your show and bump you to the top of my listening list every time I get a new episode.

    Keep it up!

  2. The more apostates the better!

  3. BTW – I looked for you guys on atheistnexus.org, I would love to see you guys create a group there. It would bring you more listeners, I’m sure.

This apostate loves the show and is spreading the word!

  4. Good call, Rick. In this case my need for self-promotion outweighed my laziness (barely) and I created a group. It’s awaiting approval, but I’ll announce it on the site when it’s up.

  5. I can tell you how other podcasters get awesome sound equipment. They go to community colleges and use public(ish) resources.
According to Mars Hill, Dr. Who must exist. He has historical references and 2 spin offs–way better than Jesus (plus he was created by Upton Sinclair).

  6. Glad to see you’ve got the podcast up for download as an MP3. keep up the good(?) work!

  7. Dr. Who was created by Upton Sinclair?

  8. Great show guys. I kept extending my walk as I was enjoying it so much and wanted to stay out of the house until the end (and to avoid kids and stuff). Man, was my dog pissed at me. Regardless, I love the scholarly attacks, and the outright angry ones too.

  9. Sorry for the off-topic but yes Upton Sinclair 1st wrote about Dr. Who in his book “Damaged Goods” although his works on religon are way better than even The Jungle.
