[chuck]While resting, gathering steam, and considering my future podcasting plans, I was contacted by Dumbass of the Invisible Sky Monster podcast to join in on a roundtable discussion on a host of issues pertinent to the skeptical and atheist communities. Give it a listen.

I’m pretty much settled on providing a fair and balanced review of Kirk Hastings’ “What is Truth?” for the next and final (?) Irreligiosophy podcast. I have randomly selected Hovindologist Matt Wakefield out of an infinite array of possible co-hosts; fortunately his expertise in Hovindology qualifies him to tackle nearly the exact same “arguments” from Kirk. Look for that podcast to pop up in the next few weeks.

  1. Looking forward to it.

  2. Cool Chuck! Thanks for all the work you are doing.

  3. wewt fuck yeah

  4. Jack Pollock says:

Can’t wait for the Kirk Hastings thing. Also, after listening to you on the Invisible Sky Monster cast, I want to reiterate how your professionalism and ability to think on your feet really stands out in the field of podcasting.

  5. Thanks, Jack. It did make me realize how much I already miss it.

  6. I’m assuming that his professionalism and ability to think on his feet stands out particularly in contrast to my own. 🙂

  7. This is hilarious. I always had the voices and images mixed up and still have a hard time imagining that Chuck’s voice goes with Chuck’s picture and vice versa….

  8. thanks chuck!

  9. Can’t wait for the next one and I sincerely hope it’s not the last.

  10. Yeah Chuck, I have to say, no offense to the other people on the podcast, but your broadcasting skill do stand out. Even if you don’t go on with Irreligiosophy, you might want to consider doing something with your skills.

  11. Awesome-no, fucking awesome! I hope this isn’t the last podcast. I’ve been going through all the old episodes and reconfirming how many varieties of ass irreligiosophy kicks.

  12. Herb (12th Apostle) says:

Excellent. Good to have you back, Chuck.

  13. ZOMG! Another upcoming episode! My prayers did work!!!!! Oh wait…

    Thank you Chuck!

  14. ….yes!!

  15. And by doing something with your skills, we are in no way trying to insinuate you should go into male prostitution.

But it would help the influx of cash.

I hope this turns into a regular thing, where “final” means what Hideo Kojima means when he says final Metal Gear Solid. Except these podcasts aren’t awful like those iterations are.

  16. Oh yeah totally. A male prostitute in Utah would have to make a ton of money. I realize the state doesn’t have that many senators or congressman, but I’m sure the statehouse is full of self hating republicans. Hell, a man with a pretty mouth could probably make several thousand a day in the handicap stall at the state capitol.

  17. Discord.agent says:

Actually it’s rare that you’ll ever make more than $600 a day when the Utah legislature is in session… from what I’ve been told.

  18. <3

If you ever need a perverted immature bastard, I'm your guy.

  19. I hope you all understand if I steer clear of perverted, immature bastards for the foreseeable future.

  20. Herb (12th Apostle) says:

Boy, that Invisible Sky Monster podcast was a tough listen, Chuck. You were spot on but the rest of that was fodder for a take-down podcast.

I’m willing to throw my hat in the ring for a shot as guest host if you are looking.

  21. Yay! Give me more!

  22. AngryBudgie says:

And the unwashed mashes of the Irreligiosophy fans rejoiced! Irreligifans unite!

  23. thank god!

  24. Discord.agent says:

I think Infinite Monkey is the reason Fred Phelps hates fags so much. That guy was just awful. I have yet to understand the point he was making during his bit about a Halloween party.

  25. Another Irreligiosophy post and another Irreligiosophy podcast- sorta, but a podcast with Chuck none the less. This site is more active since you cancelled the podcast than when it was “active” lol You should have called it quits sooner

  26. love it keep it up chuck

  27. I just want to make it clear to everybody who didn’t enjoy the podcast, and I’ll probably say it outright in my next episode, that I know I’m not talented or professional. To be frank, I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. I’m just trying to have fun and talk to interesting people.

So to you Irreligiosophy fans who were disappointed that my podcast wasn’t the same kind of quality as a Chuck and Leighton production, you are absolutely right and I will not argue against your preferences!

Some people however, for some unknown reason, seem to enjoy hearing a dumbass like me yammer on about things. Hopefully at least a small number of people here fall into that camp 🙂

  28. don’t let anybody put you off @Dumbass, most of us dont have any talent and we never even try.. do your thing, and the people who appreciate it will be there, but dont let anybody discourage you

  29. Herb (12th Apostle) says:

@Dumbass — My comment was about that one specific episode of your podcast. I haven’t listened to enough episodes to form an opinion. I suggest you listen to both of the Irreligiosophy Hindu podcasts before you go showering Chuck and Leighton with compliments (esp. Leighton).

  30. I think I gave the wrong impression – please don’t think that I’m complaining or looking for sympathy. I think that if you’re going to put yourself out there you’ve got to get comfortable with the idea that you’re probably going to make a fool out of yourself. That’s part of the reason that I call myself “Dumbass”.

  31. YAY! thanks for being there for your fans Chuck. i hope everything works out and look forward to hearing more podcasts. i sure am glad i looked to see what the hell was going on.. this podcast along with SGU and The good atheist are the only podcasts i regularly listen to..

  32. Nice! listening now. Long live the one true podcast!

  33. English Simon says:

My wife just asked me why I was crying and I told her that it’s because there is some hope that, in the future, I might still be able to listen to a Chuckcast. Sweet Athena, let it be true.

  34. My recent donation was contingent on you never returning to podcasting. Bastard!

  35. YAY … am just downloading podcast now … methinks this isn’t the last we’ve heard from you sir. Keep going – check the FB page … there are many of us who are thanking you for turning us to the darkside.

  36. Citizen Wolf says:

Excellent. This new format of having a last ever podcast every couple of weeks suits me fine. We can number them in sequence; last ever podcast #1, last ever podcast #2…..
    🙂

  37. At least the tradition of trying to get us to listen to other peoples shitty podcasts lives on.

  38. Chuck. You have a great radio/podcast voice and a great radio/podcast brain. I very much enjoy your soothing words, intellect and timing on this podcast. I hope you don’t choose to became silenced. One day I’d like to meet you in person and say thanks.

  39. Consider doing something with Ray Garton again, if he’s game….I really enjoyed the two you guys did with him before, and you and he seemed to have a good rapport.

  40. Still called Native Americans in Canada since we are part of the Americas (Chuck), but yeah we not only small-poxed the shit out of them but have the total burn of putting “Our home and native land” in our anthem. Great podcast Dumbass.

  41. Now I’m not going to over exaggerate but this is the greatest thing that has ever happened in the history of the universe including the big bang itself. Can’t wait to listen.

  42. pinguino maricon says:

Praise the Lord and pass the Cheetos!

  43. I actually liked the roundtable. Dumbass is a likable personality. Maybe I’ll keep listening

  44. Kristina Danielsson says:

Awwww, you DO like your fans, Chuck! *beams* Thank you – gonna go and listen now.

  45. The Magic Underwear Show.

  46. LOL – I realize it’s spam, but that would go perfectly in the thread above!
