[chuck]Well, my hard drive crashed while I was editing episode 111, so I am raising the white flag and closing up shop on Irreligiosophy. I’ve locked the forums and will lock the site up within the next week or two. I’ve left a link to a mailing list — for those who are interested, sign up for the list and I’ll use it exactly once to email an announcement when Unapologetics goes live. Thank you to everyone who donated, it helped more than you know.
All of the episodes will remain available here and at iTunes for the foreseeable future, unless it starts costing me extra money to do so. So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Weird to see the site finally close down, but I’m glad you’ll still be around. Are you going to try to get onto some other atheist/skeptical podcasts? I think most of us will follow you, but a little drummed up publicity wouldn’t hurt.
Also, will this invalidate my D. Irr? WIll I need to get a D. Una?
I recorded an episode with Church of Awesome last week. No plans yet to appear anywhere else.
The good news is that D. Irr’s are as valid as they’ve ever been!

I had another hard drive, and a relatively recent backup. Hovindologist Matt Wakefield has a history of causing data loss, perhaps due to some anti-Chuck-laptop energy field he exudes, so I should have been better prepared.

This has been without question, the best atheist podcast yet. I have tried to feed my need for Irreligiosophy with other podcasts to no avail. Looking forward to the next chapter, thanks again Chuck!

Chuck (and Leighton, if he ever happened to read this), thanks for everything. I’ll look forward to Unapologetics and will, of course, take everything I learned from Irreligiosophy to the grave. It was a good run.

I salvaged the first half of the podcast, but not the ending. Maybe I’ll put up a clip or something. FYFM on Unapologetics? MmMMmmaybe.
I’ll definitely link to Unapologetics when it goes up. I already have a rough draft of the podcast image/logo, which I’ll post when I’m happy with it.
Chuck- Kudos and thank you for Kent Hovind, Jack Chick Tracts, Advice to young men, Christian persecution, Pagan persecution, Mim’s Carter, The nativity, Baptism for the dead and on and on. I have listened to each of these episodes more than 20 times each and all the rest closing in. Will never forget when you guys came home to find Pahkdi (sp?) dead, even after you went to the trouble of salting the tuna. You’re the best. Talk is cheap, but I promise to throw you some beers soon. See you in the Irreligiosophy afterlife, the only afterlife worth a shit.
I signed up for the mailing list before I even finished reading your final post. Thank you for everything, “Church of Awesome” and “Cognitive Dissonance” are great shows, but only one podcast gave us the LDS advice to young men. Chuck, please don’t give up on podacting, you already have a fanbase and, if the new people posting comments on how dismayed they are for finding the podcast so late are to be believed, it is a growing one.

Thanks to Chuck and Leighton for Irreligiosophy. Whatever happened behind the scenes and whatnot, the end product was the most enjoyable, informative, badass and least self important podcast I’ve ever heard.
