[ann]Listener Chris sent us a link to a discussion about marketing Jesus to improve our Lord and Savior’s brand image for the current generation. We give you a peek at the fruits of their campaign in the form of two inane commercials, and then we give it the old Irreligiosophy treatment with a commercial of our own in response.
We also discuss Ray Comfort and Mike Seaver’s attempt to invade college campuses in advance of Darwin’s 150th anniversary and infect our centers of higher learning with their own brand of stupidity.

Hei guys thanks for the episode on seventh day adventism, love it. But, check this 2 podcasts, its a must do: Logicallycritical – episodes: wacky bible stories and more wacky bible stories, they’re short but they’re freaking funny. And the other podcast is rational radio, there they have a lots of short episodes, but the best one is: planet back , July 22 , 2007. Check that out and please let me Know what u guys think. Keep up the good work. ()
P.s. I also want to finger Jesus!!! oo()oo
Thanks for the links, I’ll check them out this weekend. I just love wacky Bible stories.
Did you wonder if any of your nine listeners would notice that Jesus speaks with an Australian accent? Well, I noticed. And even more funnily (funnily?) I noticed the Jesus of your spoof commercials *also* spoke with an Australian accent. With so few listeners, you took quite a chance that no one would pick up on that!
Here’s another Australian link: http://www.jesusracing.com.au/ – those craaaaaaaaazy Ozies – doncha’ just luv ’em to bits.
Note the driver, Andrew Fisher’s nickname is “Fishtail”. Does he eat the head and body off of one of those Ichthys symbol stickers and drive around the track with the tail sticking out of his mouth – or is there something we are not being told?
My dark secret is I was a newbie listener to Irrel… your podcast and I wanted to have Layton on as a guest but I got Charles and Layton mixed up. I thought “okay there’s the doctor guy and the gruff but lovable guy. I think most people will want to interview the doctor guy but I think the gruff but lovable guy might be a really interesting character.”
Much to my horror I realized I set up an interview with the doctor guy, not the gruff but lovable guy. But I still think the interview turned out great. Thanks again, Charles.
Layton, I’d still love to have you on… we could go two hours and then you could make Charles listen and see how he likes it. Huh?
Of course I could spell Leighton’s name correctly by now. I’m a douche.
Leighton’s a douche. The sad thing is I’d listen to that entire podcast.
My mom didn’t listen to my Korean podcast when I was in Korea. Even though I’d only see her once every 2 years. Sometimes the ones that love us the most just don’t give a rat’s ass.
I wonder if the Australians are thanking Jesus for the dust storm that they are facing in Sydney and other parts of the country? Or that his way of punishing the homosexuals in that country?
“gruff but lovable”. HA! Take that Salt City Skeptics. Har har. You stayed silent and had Charley on anyway. You are my new favorite person. I apologize for your having to suffer through his boring personality and am sure your podcast would have been much better had you been talking to yourself in the mirror. As to your offer of having me on, I think to make up for your error you’re going to have to have me on for at least five hours.
No worries, Karl. If you want me on there I’ll find the time. Send an email through if you like.
Thanks Jesus, for the wildfires that swept across my country and killed tons of people in their homes.
Awesome commercial guys. Keep up the good work.
