And we’re back!

[chuck]Okay, we’re back from our 6 day road trip and tired as hell. But we know you all have been without a podcast for 2 weeks, so here’s what we’ll do: we’re going to do another Jack Chick episode and we already have one slot filled with a tract called “Oops.” We’d like to discuss 2 more, so we’ll open the floor to our audience.

Leave suggestions for your favorite Chick tracts in the comments, and we’ll choose two from that pool and record the podcast tonight. I’ll try to get it edited and out some time late tonight, and then I’ll crash and sleep the sleep of the damned, hopefully until I actually am damned.

Apologies

[chuck]We tried to get a podcast out today, but between working 10 out of the last 10 days, Leighton’s school work, and gearing up for the Haunt Convention in St. Louis, we failed. We will try to get one out by the end of the week, pending internet access at the hotel (we’ll be driving pretty much the next 2 days straight).

If you’re looking around for someone to blame, blame Pakhdi. He’s so damn hungry he can’t even write.

Questions for Sean.

[leighton]As there has been some interest in listeners asking Sean questions, and he has agreed, I would ask any out there interested in posing a question to do so by email. We have set up the recording session for Thursday, March 4th. Please have your questions to us by noon that day if you would like your question included in the discussion. Also, in posing your questions remember he has requested the topic remain firmly on the respecting of individual beliefs.

New Episode Delayed

Good times, I promise. It should be up this Wednesday the 6th.

Special Guest Speaker: Tall Penguin

[leighton]Due to our episode on the Jehovah’s Witnesses we received a comment from a very special woman who we were able to convince to come on and speak with us concerning her experiences. She enlightens us much more than any research we could do and we’re glad to have her on to discuss her experiences inside this religion. If you would like to read more about her experiences you can visit her blog. We will be posting this interview for this week’s podcast.

Tall Penguin was raised a Jehovah’s Witness. At the age of 31, after a series of events and realizations, she formally cut ties with the religion. Through her blog, she details the aftermath of leaving the JW’s and the subsequent journey into a life without God and belief. When she isn’t devouring books, Tall Penguin spends her time writing, painting and generally enjoying life.

Irreligiosophy @ Atheist Nexus

[chuck]Listener Rick got me off my fat, lazy ass to set up an Irreligiosophy group at Atheist Nexus, which you can find and join here. Join away. We may even put up some extra content on there, or something.
