[leighton]Win or lose, Tod Cochrane just sent us the podcast awards packet. Looks like there may be an acceptance or rejectance speech from us after all on a live, non-editable feed. As long as there is no new age music it should be a good time.

If you have a closed ear headset this is the best way to connect to prevent audio echo. I would hate to have you call in and then have to disconnect you because of an echo.
Many times folks get excited especially if there are more than one of you and start screaming, if you think you are going to be screaming test your skype connection with that level of excitement so that you can make sure you do not create a feedback loop.”
That is one guarantee I can make, there will be no screaming on our side of things. I take no responsibility if screaming ensues on Podcast Awards side.

You guys are getting boring so here are a few things I’d personally like to hear you carp about:
the idiots to are anti-“happy holidays” and all about “Jesus is the reason for the season”
Eastern religions: Buddhism, which I don’t find especially offensive or even annoying, but I bet you have some amusing things to say about reincarnation or Thick Naht Han. Or how about Hinduism with all their crazy gods who are really aspects of one god and their myriad of festivals? Shintoism?
Sikhs
Jainism
The Protestant Reformation, lots of hypocrisy there to poke fun at!
Oh and my one final request: Charlie says “Good Lord” and “Oh my God” way too much for an atheist so I would like you both to make an effort to say things like: “Oh my flying spaghetti monster!”, “Good gophers”, and “Like Death Valley I will!” You are both completely ridiculous so I bet you can come up with more associated atheist phrases.

Oh, I’d also like to hear you take a crack at the right wing whackos who object to the HPV vaccine on “moral and religious” grounds and insist that it will cause girls to be promiscuous. I mean we all know that “good Christian boys” abstain from premarital sex *Leighton cough cough* just like the girls so there is no way that good Christian girls can get HPV and then die of cervical cancer before the age of 35, right?
