[leighton]Recently we received an email from a pair of viewers who requested that we make them our honorary #13 1/2 listeners. Although we never have, and despite Charley’s foolish hopes never will, have more than four or five listeners at a time it is with great pleasure that we bestow Kate and “boyfriend”(Is he the half you speak of or are you?) as our first double digit listeners.

We discussed giving the one and a half of you a trophy, but realized that the best gift we could ever give you is our prayers that you’re children could be raised by gay penguins. Someday your children will frolic as free as these two(Please ignore the second definition of “frolic” because I believe that may be bordering on animal abuse i.e. ‘play about with someone in a flirtatious or sexual way’.):

Totally Gay Penguins

  1. Add me to your list of listeners. I loved the Glenn Beck (along with anything you do about mormonism). Your bit about Glenn claiming he was asking all these stumpers to the bishop and missionaries and they were like “whoa… even the prophet never asked that one” was spot on. Yeah, why not actually tell us what the question was.

It struck me as if he lifted it from Luke 2:39-52. The bit about teen Jesus stumping the temple priests.

    ||After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers.||

So like what were his answers?

You’re really not helping my arguments here, mate. How am I supposed to convince everyone we only have four listeners if everyone keeps piping in that they listen to the show? Now Charley’s going to walk around believing he’s correct. His ego doesn’t need any more lifting.

As to Beck, the guy is an absolute retard. I doubt he could stump a tree in a battle of wits and we never did find out what his answers were. If these were so good why is it he’s not spouting them to the world or is this another thing that we all must become mature enough first in order to understand them?

  3. Good point about Glenn Beck. I bet he is equating himself to Jesus and the Temple, stumping all the priests with his wisdom. Of course, in that story Beck would have weeped with pride, then recovered immediately and told a joke.
